Day 3 - Pool day

It was an early start today for a big day of doing nothing! The hotel had really grown in the number of German people, and now the Austrians were increasing in number. They all had cool merch on and with the help of Google, we realised that quite a lot of the hotel guests were competitors (and even some olympians) for the Trofeo Princesa Sofía Mallorca competitions taking place in the Bay of Palma.

As the olympic hopefuls and athletes went off to compete in the open water, Anna and I set off to the side of the pool and laid up for a bit of hardcore tanning. The day didn’t get too much more eventful other than the barman bringing me two Malibu and orange drinks rather than one…oh no!

Louis managed to get some work done on his laptop as we chilled by the pool until lunchtime, before moving up to the rooftop pool in the afternoon when the wind had died down. It was a tiring day and I probably slept longer than I was awake.

We didn’t venture too far for dinner and went to the really busy and buzzing tapas bar across from the hotel. For the second time in two days, the waiter let out an audible laugh at my attempt in ordering in Spanish. The PTSD of my Spanish teacher laughing at me during my Spanish oral in school. I’ll just stick to French and Italian then!

Despite doing literally nothing today (sorry readers), it was probably the most tiring day. The sun really does take it out of you. Night!
